A botanist and educator, Sweedle aims to bridge the gap between science and outreach through her venture, ‘The Leafy Walks.’ In Mumbai’s urban landscape, she blends storytelling, art, and “show-and-tell” with natural elements, nurturing ecological literacy and empathy across generations.
Wasima Begum is a nature educator from Assam dedicated to wildlife conservation and community engagement. Since 2022, with her background in ecological restoration, she has been working towards encouraging environment stewardship. By blending fieldwork with hands-on education, Wasima helps youth across Northeast India discover a deep, personal connection to nature.
Aravinda Kudla is a government teacher from Mangalore. Inspired his students’ curiosity, he aims to transform rote learning into sensory discovery. Aravinda focuses on creating and using Kannada nature resources to empower children to replace fear with respect through storytelling and observation.

Her journey began with studying science, which led to her documenting birds to support forest protection efforts.

Anurag Karekar is a monsoon-migrating naturalist who works as an Ecotourism Curator at The Habitat Institute in the Andaman Islands for eight months of the year, and returns to Mumbai during the monsoon to run nature education and ecotourism programs through his company, Naturalist Explorers.
