Lansothung Lotha is an educator from Nagaland whose fascination with the natural world was sparked early. In his current role as a Forest Ranger posted in Wokha where the Amur Falcons stopover on their grand migration, he works with local communities teaching them more about the biodiversity that surrounds them.
Grace Paljor is a nature educator from the Kashmir Valley. She grew up amidst these extraordinary mountain forests, and began her relationship with nature at a young age. As Head of St. Paul’s school, she generously shares her joy and love for birds with the students, helping them understand the natural world.
Kalpana Jayaraman is a university professor from Chennai who decided to quite literally think outside the box and take undergrad students outdoors for zoology classes. Kalpana’s classes took on a new dimension as they saw and experienced nature in practical ways that were relevant to their local context and biodiversity.
