Connecting children to birds
Early Bird partnered with WWF India to plan and launch the first edition of Young Birders Month (YBM) in November 2025. Individual educators, birders, and conservation organizations came together to conduct to 202 events conducted across 88 locations, spanning diverse geographies and communities in the country. Together, these activities reached 3000+ participants as young as four years old through to college students.
The Young Birders’ Workshop 2025 brought together curious children from across India, each adding their own spark to our shared learning. From naming invented birds to observing real ones, their enthusiasm, questions, and deepening connection with nature reminded us why bird education matters. What a delightful journey it’s been!
